was called to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers April 13, 2008. I began serving the congregation August 18, 2008. My husband and I have just purchased a home in Fort Myers and love the area. We are approaching our one-year anniversary of being Florida residents. My partner Andy is a computer software developer who telecommutes to a small company in California. Andy and I were married in 2006. I graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School in June of 2008. Before becoming a minister I worked at Planned Parenthood in Chicago. I majored in theatre in undergrad at Northwestern University. The Smoky Mountains are deep in my heart, having grown up in East Tennessee.
However, we are loving Southwest Florida- the sun, the sand, the water! I know that this area needs a progressive, liberal voice, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers hopes to be that voice while providing a safe space for the spiritual journey of Life.
